APS will have a morning session from 0800 to 10.30 with two workshops –
0800 to 0915 on “Changes to Regional Practice/Workforce” with about 6 speakers talking about their experiences and 15 minutes for discussion. We can do a Zoom meeting with local delegates having their tablets to log into the discussions so all participants can hear the questions.
0915 to 1030 on “Improving Communication – between local, regional and tertiary services”. Again about 6 speakers talking for about 10 minutes with 15 minutes for further discussion. We hope to represent most states with the speakers.
These workshops will assist in formatting a Monkey Survey to go to all members.
Morning Tea 10.30 to 11am
AGM 11am to 11.45 to allow time to prepare for the afternoon outing.
There will be a registration fee of $50 for the workshop for online only attendees and no cost to attend the AGM only. Alan Kerrigan (email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org) will be organising the AGM papers. Peter Goss (email@example.com) will co-ordinate the prerecording of the speakers with the assistance of Gary Smith from Armchair Medical who has helped with our Diabetes and Allergy meeting.
I am happy to talk to both workshop subjects and do the panel discussion with Alan Kerrigan, Anton Harding, and Steve Pryde.
I’m sure Larry Roddick will help also.
Session 1 – Possible speakers include Tim Warnock (QLD), Peter Goss and/or Jo McCubbin (Vic), Alan Kerrigan and/or Mark de Sousa (NSW), Paul Bauert (NT), Nigel Stewart (SA).
Session 2 – As in session 1 but add Larry Roddick, Steve Pride, Anton Harding, or anyone else that is interested to contribute.
Have I overlooked anyone?
We don’t have much time. I haven’t included any younger delegates or trainees which would be good.
Most of the committee is willing to keep on in their current roles for another year so we can regroup and refocus but we will need to nominate for positions. We do need a secretary.
